Transformers is a 2007 live action science fiction film conceptually based on the Transformers franchise and toy line. The film is directed by Michael Bay with Steven Spielberg acting as the executive producer. The film stars Shia LaBeouf as Sam Witwicky who discovers the map to the Allspark, the source of life which the heroic Autobots and evil Decepticons wage a war over. This adaptation is the Transformers' first American feature film since The Transformers: The Movie in 1986, (though unrelated) and also sees the return of Peter Cullen as the voice of Autobot leader Optimus Prime, 20 years since the original cartoon ended. Due to the new complex design aesthetic of the Transformers, the film has had intense Internet speculation, and has a release date of July 4, 2007 in the United States and Canada.

    It is a Must See Movie. I just saw it. It is a Rush. With the Action Sequences it was like you were on a ride.

    Can't wait for this one, the Transformers were a big part of my family in childhood and I hope the movie does the legacy justice!

    WOW! Grew up on d cartoon n i was so down wit transformers;the movie. Really cant wait 2 hav dat feelin 1ce more but on a different age level. The decepticons leader Megatron was changed 2 Galvatron in the animated version back in d days. Micheal Bay is a director whose work i admire n i know he aint gon let us down.

    looks good, but the July 4th release makes me nervous that it's going to be an "Americans rule everything!" kind of movie
