The Mummy 3 To Shoot in Montreal

The third installment, with no confirmed cast yet, is scheduled for a July 11, 2008 release. Rick & Evie's son will be older.

I cant wait for this movie to came out on the video so i can have it!!!

Well I'll say that they had better do a good job on this movie. The first movie was very good but the second movie wasn't. The acting for one thing was not that great and the computer animation?? The Scorpion King didn't look in the least bit real! I have seen better computer animation for Cars!!! I am going to be extremely mad if this movie is worse than the second movie because the second movie wasn't very good.

I wish that they will put the mummy to bed he had his run for now. Don,t run it in the ground please. When they make movies like that they try to see how far they can run with it, It,s time to put to bed now.

Thats sweet, I saw all the other ones and they were awsome. You can never get to much mummy.

This is what they said and i quote on the website of killermovies.com "Al Gough, who is co-writing the third installment in the Mummy film franchise with partner Miles Millar, told SCI FI Wire that the sequel will unwrap a new mummy and feature a character who is the grown son of Rick and Evie (played in the previous films by Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz). It's aiming to shoot this summer under director Rob Cohen (Stealth) for a 2008 release.

Gough and Millar, who also created The CW's Smallville, said the sequel will also have a new concept. "Stephen Sommers [who wrote and directed the previous two films] and his partner, Bob Ducsay, ... approached us and said, 'Steve doesn't want to write the third movie. Would you guys be interested?'" Gough said in an interview. "And we were like, 'Well, it's a third.' But then they had a concept for it that we really liked. They had an idea for the movie, which is something we always wanted to do. So we're like, 'Well, if we don't do it, they're going to do it in this movie.'"

Yeppeee!!! I was kind of mad with the Scorpion King because they came out of story but yeppeee!!!

I knew when Jonathan grabbed that object on top of the pyramid while hanging upside down from the hot air balloon that there would be another mummy movie but everyone I knew said "no I think the mummy is destroyed now."

This is great news! I was hoping they would do another Mummy movie. I hope they keep the original cast, and keep to the style of the first two. Whoo hoo!

I just read up on the concept of the story and it sounds pretty cool, its all about a chinese mummy etc.. and eve and Ricks son now grown up go exploring with them and get into trouble as usuall. Im a sucker for the mummy stories So i will be there !!

People you need to realize that Montreal is being used as a location for shooting. Chances are Montreal will be used as a make shift London or Cairo. Just because they are using Montreal does not necessarily mean the movie will take place in Montreal. Look at Jump In! it was filmed in Montreal but the locations used were labeled as New York. Fantastic Four: The Rise Of The Silver Surfer is filming in Vancouver but the story takes place again in New York. Montreal in particular the area known as "Old Montreal" has a very rich heritage and the architecture which could definetly pass for an early 20th century location such as London.

never was much into the first flick.i found the comedy in it ruined it for me.i always tought it would have worked better as a more serious scary film.doesnt seemt to work as and indian jones type flick and brandon fraser is no harrison ford.lol

You're assuming that the rest of the original cast is returning. We don't know the plot/story for all we know it could be a much older Alex O'Connel (the son from The Mummy Returns) who is battling the Mummy.
