Cate Blanchett has signed on to star in the fourth installment of the "Indiana Jones" adventures. With David Koepp's screenplay shrouded in secrecy, it is unclear what character Blanchett will play.

Harrison Ford already has boarded the project, which will be produced by Lucasfilm and directed by Steven Spielberg. Rumour is still circulating that Shia LeBeouf is still in talks to play Indiana Jones' son.

Shooting will begin in June in Los Angeles and at undisclosed locations around the world. Paramount Pictures will release Indiana Jones 4 day-and-date around the world on May 22, 2008.

Frank Marshall is producing, with George Lucas and Kathleen Kennedy executive producing.

this could be pretty cool, potentially. i mean, Rachel Weisz is living proof than an Oscar-worthy actress is capable of being a great addition to a fun, light, action film. here's hoping Cate'll play the villain, though.

i mean...yes i LOVE indiana jones, but isn't harrison ford a little old!? he's like practically ancient!!! And i am not slamming ford either, because i think he is really cool...but he's old!!!!

FINALLY!!! More talk about this film!!! We've been waiting over eighteen years for this movie... It's about time!!!
I just LOVE Indiana Jones!! :P One of my all time favorites!!!
Shia and Cate should be great!! But all depends on their characters development and the script... we'll have to wait and see...

Wow! I am actually looking forward to this now.
It's a different type of movie for Cate, she's my favourite actress so anything with her in it is good to me.
