IESB received a scoop about New Line trying to get a new "Freddy Krueger" film in production before the end of 2007. Here is a clip:

"It probably won't be the much-rumored "prequel" film, but either a new "Freddy Vs..." movie or another 'solo' adventure for Freddy - with one treatment in particular, floating around, getting quite a lot of buzz; its simply about the new young couple (hence, young CW-esque stars get to headline) who buy into their first home together... yep, you guessed it... THAT house."

"The other option is a new "Freddy Vs. Michael" movie. There's a lot of red-tape to get through there. John Carpenter is trying to help sort it out. This film seems to be the most popular option on the table at the moment, so if they can get it up, they will."

    I CANT WAIT TILL THAT COMES OUT!!! i say itll be sick an such a great movie. 'Freddy vs. Michael' would be awesome for sure.

    I hope they mke loads more, love the freddy series and when FVJ came out was over the moon, well actually in America but was in the front seat to see it. I know many people won't agree with me but it was, sorry is an amazing film, hope to see more

    hmm instead of snakes on a plane they should have jason vorees, michael myers, freddy krueger on a plane. I would see that.

    A Freddy vs. Micheal Meyers movie would be ok, just as long as they don't remake the original (a.k.a. Halloween) it should be entertaining

    I always wished they would do a another nightmare movie although I wish they would stay true to what got us all scared the first time around and make it more of a psychological thing than stupid.
