Hilary Duff's Dignity

In only 4 years, Hilary Duff has managed to churn out 4 albums. That is pretty good going for someone who is also an actress, has her own fashion range and has recently launched a fragrance. Up until now Duff's foray into music has been a bit of a mixed one. Debut album Metamorphosis was launched off the back of Duff's success as Disney's Lizzie McGuire and positioned her as a pop/rock chick. Second album Hilary Duff continued the theme and planted Duff firmly in the safe pop/rock arena. With the release of her third album Most Wanted, Duff collected together her biggest hits and added a few new tracks. It was on this collection that Duff hinted that her musical output might actually be half-decent. Rumoured to be influenced by her then boyfriend Joel Madden (from Good Charlotte), her new tracks were edgier and more credible than anything she had recorded before. Fourth album Dignity takes Duff in her most pop direction to date and is all the better for it.
