A new thriller comes to life in this 07 film. In theaters Jully 11.
A horror tale set in contemporary Moscow that revolves around the conflict and balance maintained between the forces of light and darkness--the result of a medieval truce between the opposing sides. This ancient war between the forces of Light and Darkness is reaching a tragic outcome. Each side has gained a powerful Great Other, who are headed for a clash, and Anton Gorodetsky is once again caught up in the midst of things. On one side is Anton’s son, Yegor, who has joined the ranks of the 'Dark Others', while Anton's love interest Svetlana is the hope of the 'Light'. But that's just the beginning of his troubles: Anton is on the run after having been accused of murder. Things are getting worse, and only the ancient 'Chalk of Fate' can save the day. The problem is the magical Chalk was lost hundreds of years ago.

    I absolutely loved Nightwatch. Can't wait for this one. and its ALL about the subtitles- I'm sorry but dubbed foreign films SUCK.

    Having not read the books, I went into Nightwatch compleatly blind of it's history and I loved it. I can't wait to see the second one and I agree, forget the dub, stick to the original dialogue with subtitles.

    After seeing Day Watch a few months back, I've gotta say its a lot more interesting than Night Watch.

    It misses out a fair bit of the books, and Day Watch is essentially the second and third books merged into one... but its definitely worth a watch.

    Don't bother with a dubbed version though - watch the original russian with subtitles. :)

  • The books are amazing! the Night watch movie was a let down, it missed so much critical parts of the storyline. here's hoping Day Watch can restore greatness to such an amazing piece of story telling. Cant wait for this movie!

  • I saw the first movie..Nightwatch. I hope this storyline is a little more straigtforward. Nightwatch was all over the place, scriptwise. The special effects were top notch, though! If you wanna see Daywatch, rent Nightwatch first. It will give you a little insight into russian mythology... at least enough to try to enjoy the movie.
