Director Talks "Toy Story 3"

TIME magazine posted an article about the upcoming Pixar films, including a "Toy Story 3" update from director Lee Unkrich.

"We got an idea we thought would be really great," says Unkrich. "We're just starting to write the story." Adding, "I wake up every morning hoping for a eureka moment."

Unkrich was the co-director on "Toy Story 2," "Monsters, Inc." and "Finding Nemo," the highest grossing film in Pixar history. With "Toy Story 3" he graduates to full director status and says that Randy Newman was already asked to write the score for the film.

Tom Hanks and Tim Allen return for "Toy Story 3," which is scheduled to hit theaters sometime in 2010.

    Lol, 2010. Not in the very near future, I daresay.

    I wish they didn't need to make a third. I much prefer original movies to endless sequels.

    Still, I hope they do a good job. Toy Story 2 was one of the best sequels ever. Don't want them to mess up their perfect record.

    they really need to come up with "NEW" things because expanding on already visited franchises because it kills it. Great examples Superman 3 and 4, Alien 3 and 4, Batman 4, Beverly Hills cop 3, Major League 2 and 3, i could keep going on and on.

    i think that a lot of people r sick of toy story and want something else. i know i am. a lot of younger kids probably haven't seen toy story 1 or 2. this won't in my opinion be a big hit.

    I've heard that it was supposed to come out years ago. The movie was supposed to be about how buzzlight year gets recalled becuz of a malfunction or whatever, so Woody and the rest of the toys have to go save him.

    They have been talking about this for years and still nothing, plus they should stick with the director they had for the Toy Story movies.
