Next James Bond Movie Director Is Not Who You'd Expect

And it's quite the surprise. The director of Casino Royale was Martin Campbell, a well known, well established action movie director. He'd directed The Mask Of Zorro, The Legend Of Zorro, Vertical Limit, and another Bond flick, Goldeneye. Well the new choice for the next Bond film is much, much less stereotypical. The studio has taken a risk and gone with Marc Forster? That's right, for those of you that don't know Forster has directed dramas like, Monster's Ball and Finding Neverland, and then the good, quirky comedy Stranger Than Fiction as well. He's a well established and a very good director and I think this is a great choice. Daniel Craig will still be Bond for the next movie, and I hope he sticks around for a couple more because he's quite good. This is an interesting choice, props to the studio for making such an interesting, risky choice. Forster's great and I have no doubt that he'll do a great job with the next "Bond" flick.

persoanlly i hated casino royale, it was 2 long and i was bored wit the whole card thing, the only good thing was the grl, she was great

i hope he treats the forty something year old movie franchise good. this is the only franchise i will accept a sequel.

sounds good to me, bond needs a good shake up everynow and then, and i think that casino royale was a good film so i hope forster carries this new trend on

I liked Casino Royale but I definitely agree. It was a very good movie, but there was ultimately something missing and I would like to see the franchise go in a new direction. Stranger Than Fiction was great and Finding Neverland was quite good so I can't wait to see what Forster does with this franchise.

Marc Foster? Huh, interesting. Stranger Than Fiction was a very good film, and I've heard good things about Monsters Ball and Finding Neverland. Although I did not like Casino Royale as every one else did, I think a new director could push it in a new direction, so it could change the Bond franchise for the better.
