"Pirates 4" Heads for Atlantis

Don't get me wrong - the 'Pirates' movies were among my all - time favourites. But they are just going to kill it, like they are doing with Shrek. Too much of a good thing, I say. Just leave it at 3!

Honestly, as much as I like Sparrow, I just don't think I want to see a movie without Will and Elizabeth. Even with the so-called 'happy ending' I just wasn't satisfied with their story ending that way.

Hmm first of all i must say that i LOVED the previous films. first to the last. Wouldn't a 4th movie be spoiling the beauty of "Pirates of the Caribbean". I mean a trilogy like this is more than amazing. Of course i know WE ALL want to see more of our favorite pirates, but dont you think it'd be spoiling by keep releasing MORE of these movies?

You know what I think the storyline will be?
It is several years after Pirates 3 ended, and Barbossa and Sparrow have parted. Then Sparrow gathers his old crew for one last (or not, if there is Pirates 5) shindig to find the Fountain of Youth, perhaps bringing in relations with the Pirate Lords, not to mention Will and the crew of the Flying Dutchman, and Beckett's former agency, the East India Trading Company.
I think it will run along these lines. Although my idea sucks, so I hope not.

Oh yeah. I forgot to say this. ROCK ON PIRATES!!!!!!!!!!

I agree the fourth movie should have the same feel as the last movies but if they are going for a science fiction movie they shouldn't make it too extreme.Remember. These movies are based like back in the 18th century and they didn't even know about other planets. They should keep it like Davy Jones extreme. A guy with an octopus face, that came up out of the sea in a cursed boat, with a crew that looked just about as fishy as he did was absolutely perfect for the Pirates movies and I think if they can go anywhere beyond that they should keep it piratey so we don't think that these movies are like turning into Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy or Star Wars.

as long as they have a story to add to the series that is good and interesting, without deviating from the old concept, I think 4 would be a hit..

Im not quite sure how i feel about the 3rd movie. Especially since it was soo long. Which i got really bored in the movie. Plus they seem to get farther fetched each time and i feel like a little kid watching some crazy sciencie fiction movie. Plus there was way tooo much going on in the movie. I dunno i think they're milking it for all its worth.

im glad Will is not going to be in it...honestly...he's not that interesting of a character....and him becoming the captain of the flying dutchman...felt a tad tacked on...as for Elizabeth....i finally liked her in the 3rd movie...she grew a pair....and YAY for an all Jack movie... since Jack was only in the 3rd one for like what...45...maybe 55 minutes of a 3 hour movie....just hope this one is as amazing as the other 3...and as long as Ragetti and Pintel come back as well...ill be very happy!

Cpt. Jack is awesome but it just won't be Pirates without Will and Elizabeth. And with Will gone,I wouldn't have anything to drool over.

Please let it be as good as the other 3. I would hate to have 1,2,and 3 in my home movies and not have this one.

I will say this again: it's good that Will and Elizabeth aren't coming back. Sorry, but they're a little preoccupied. Will's too busy being Captain of the Flying Dutchman, and (if this movie takes place right after the third) Elizabeth will be busy being pregnant (sorry if I ruined that for any of you, but honestly, a real PotC fan would know by now). I'm not saying it wouldn't hurt to have them mention Will or Elizabeth, hell, even a cameo would be okay. But the point is it that it wouldn't work to have them be in the film. It just wouldn't. So everyone who's all "waaaaah, I want Will and Elizabeth in this movie!" should just go read some good fanfiction for them and get over it!

And focus on the good things, like Geoffrey Rush, the best actor in the movie! I'm really hoping that they bring back Pintel, Ragetti, Marty, Cotton, Gibbs, Murtogg, and Mullory, who are the best characters. Hurray for the comic reliefs!!!

they should set potc4 BEFORE number1 about back when jack captained the wicked wench (black pearl b4 davy jones) and his teenage adventures

I think it would cool to have pirates 4 with sparrow. It could introduce new characters. It will be worth it if Geoffrey Rush and Gore Verbinski come back and some of the other crew. It would be new adventure not the same old story.

Pirates of the Caribbean keeps getting better and better. How dare some of you suggest that "they stop before it gets out of hand"! Johnny Depp is an awesome and very versatile actor and I know he and Orlando Bloom will continue to make each movie a box office smash. I have absolutely loved each one of these movies. The remaining Pirate films to see will be on my top choice list today, tomorrow and always. I do believe that they have 5 total.

I'm actually quite shocked that Depp said he would sign up for another Pirates. He's always made a point of picking roles not based on payroll intake, but I guess he loves Capitan Jack just as much as we all. I'm not sure if it's a good idea or not. I'd hate for it to be a good idea gone bad. They should stop before it gets to out of control and awful. Jack has to end sometime, as awful as that may be, it's true. I want to see what other characters Depp can do.

This trilogy died with the second one, the first Pirates was a breath of fresh air from Disney's re-makes and movie bombs, and then the second pirates came along continuing their monotony and repetition completely destroying the series, and the third one didn't do the series any better. The 4th one will suck even more, and with a science fiction twist?!?!?!?! PLEASE.... KILL ME NOW!!!

A spin-off trilogy about Jack is a much better idea than Pirates 4, I hope they rename it. Its just stupid to make another installment without two of the stars, but this could definitely work.

To be honnest I found it a little boring when they focused on Jack Sparrow in the third one..I prefer the entire crew being in the fourth one. But I am not suprised about their being a fourth one. I just hope that it does not go on and on and on.
