M. Night Shyamalan Promises His Next Mov...

M. Night Shyamalan Promises His Next Movie Will Be Horror and Rated R!!

THANK GOD! The director of one of the best thrillers of all time, "The Sixth Sense" wants to do horror again!!! His last movie "Lady In The Water" wasn't bad, it was just... lame... And "The Village" was interesting, but it wasn't scary for a second, "Signs" left me feeling unsatisfied, and while I loved "Unbreakable" it was not, in any way, a horror movie.

When talking about his next film, "The Happening", Shyamalan said that it "will scare the crap out of audiences. You are going to get traumatized"

The movie is about a family running away from a crisis. It's in pre-production right now, but I'm guessing it'll be out by the end of next year. Thus far, actor Mark Wahlberg will star in the movie. No other major cast has been announced yet.

I hope he's not lying. Shyamalan is gonna need a really scary one to get out of his rut, and hopefully for him, this movie better do the trick.

Since when did news start encapsulating the writers opinions about something as subjective as movies? I liked all his movies up to and including Lady in the Water. I am excited about a new movie.. But I don't agree with your coverage of this story.

I dont like horror, thats why I like his movies, cuz there not actually gross. The Sixth Sense wasnt even R, so if his next movie is I likely wont watch it.

I like the guy's movies a lot....even though they're not 'scary'. They all have great stories to them and I love each one of his films. He feels so pressured to make his movies super scary and though horror is what he's aiming for, he mostly focuses on creating an awesome plot and a touching story. He is not in a rut!!

I like M. Night, I never thought any of his movies were scary, I figured him for a suspense director not horror, if he can pull of a scary one and it be original then go for it, but its his twist in the end of a movie that makes them good. Hope he don't change because some people don't like him.

Well, I doubt it'll "scare the crap out of me." The last movie to scare me was um...movies don't scare me. Gremlins scared me when I was like 4. Lady in the Water wasn't supposed to be scary. It was supposed to be a mythological fairy tale. So it was decent for what it was. I think my favorite movie of his is still The Sixth Sense. Unbreakable was quite good too. At least his "twist endings" aren't as predictable as the one in Gothika.

The most arrogant man in showbiz (and that's really saying something) hasn't made a good movie since Sixth Sense. And did you see that American Express commercial he did? Truly lame. I think this guy definitely peaked early in his career.
