According to Variety, producer Alison Rosenzweig (Windtalkers) is currently working on yet another Hollywood remake, this time it is of Adrian Lyne's "Jacob's Ladder." Not much else is said, and the fact that any mention of it was buried at the bottom of the article, probably means that this project is currently not top priority.

The original 1990 film is about a traumatized Vietnam war veteran, who finds out that his post-war life isn't what he believes it to be when he's attacked by horned creatures in the subway and his dead son comes to visit him.

"Jacob's Ladder" starred Tim Robins as the main character, and was joined by Danny Aiello, Jason Alexander, Eriq La Salle and Ving Rhames. The film did not go on to win any awards, but become a big hit among fans.

I really hate repeating myself on this topic but if anyone is working for Hollywood tell them to stop REMAKING good old movies and making them crap. Also tell them to stop the Adaptions,Prequels, and unecessary sequels(coughcoughpiratescoughcoughshrekcoughcough).

Jacobs Ladder was a one of a kind classic. A remake will never come close to what the original did. You would have to see it to apreciate it.

What the hell is the problem with Hollywood ?? Remaking films that arent even that old ... Jacob's LAdder is pretty much a cult classic, no remake needed.
