No More After "Shrek 5"
No More After "Shrek 5"
According to DreamWorks, the fifth installment in the popular "Shrek" franchise will be the last. The company plans to produce "Shrek 5" after the fourth film is released in 2010.
But DreamWorks Animation so far has committed only to one more film, spokesman Rich Sullivan said in an interview. "The story itself has five chapters," Sullivan said. "Based on the success of the first three films, at the very least, the next one, 'Shrek 4,' is warranted."
"Shrek the Third," which cost $160 million to make, has taken in $643.6 million in worldwide ticket sales since its May 18th release.
Even though we might not see "Shrek 5" for a while, Antonio Banderas already promised that Puss in Boots will have a brother in the film.
