Donnie Wahlberg Upset Over "Saw IV" Cameo

Donnie Wahlberg Upset Over "Saw IV" Cameo

In "Saw II," Donnie Wahlberg's character Eric Matthews was left for dead and then appeared in "Saw III" the following year. Now, speaking to RottenTomatoes, the actor has revealed that he will return for "Saw IV."

"Yeah, I got a scene in it," said Wahlberg. "They kept me alive. I told them I wanted to die in part three and they took out my death. I just lie there and nothing happens."

Throughout the three installments, several characters supposedly died, but director Darren Lynn Bousman is promising that not only Wahlberg's character will return, but so will Jigsaw. At this point, all they are doing is promising and not revealing the "great idea" they had about how to bring him back.

One thing is for sure, Wahlberg is not happy about it. "No, they kept me alive. I don't want to talk about it."

Those of us who truly enjoy the 'Saw' series, especially myself, appreciate Wahlberg's character in the 2nd and 3rd installments.

It's frustrating for Wahlberg, I suppose, since he expected to have each of his scenes included within the last release.
That's not how film production works, and if the directors were to accept advice from immature fans, the series would suck as much as your negative comments.

I happen to believe Wahlberg is a fantastic actor, and to see him reappear in the 4th makes me happy, since a great deal of storyline editing is involved in the series.
This guarantees that the franchise is fresh, since it exposes clues and missing elements that weren't explored before.

I'm a fan of the series.
    You don't have to be.
If you want to insult those involved, I urge you to direct a believable horror film capable of surpassing the acting and production achievements reached by 'Saw'.

If you can't, then shut your ugly faces and go back to your Harry Potter, LOTR & Pirates.

I've read somewhere that Saw IV is supposedly the final chapter meaning that writers James Wan and Leigh Whannell and director Darren Lynn Bousman are somehow bringing Jigsaw back for one last round.

I dont see how anyone can complain about there being more saw movies; WHO CARES if they keep making them, let them bring back characters who "died" as long as we keep getting to see more crazy ass torture scenes with more equally awesome twists at the end keep them coming. Because overall isnt that the point? And for mitcharwood.... WOW lol that comment made my day.

I'm a huge Jigsaw fan, I thought the movies were really weel done. My only fear is it will turn out like the "Rocky" films. "Saw10 comming soon." It would be a shame to take such a great concept and ruin it with too many sequels.

I've never seen these movies, and never will....but Donnie's name caught my eye.

My question is...if you don't want to be in the movie, why sign a contract? (unless, of course, he already signed a contract that said he would be in however many sequels his character ends up in...)...

    Anyway, just a thought.
