UPDATE: It seems now that the Justice League film will be all cgi much like the upcoming Beowulf.
A Justice League film is planned for 2009 and will have superheroes such as Superman, Batman, Flash and Wonder Woman in it. Superman and Batman will not be Brandon Routh and Christian Bale respectively, as Warner Bros will cast a new Superman and Batman for the film. In my opion this is a big mistake by Warner Bros because what is the point to have Superman and Batman in it. They have just reinvented both of them with Superman Returns and Batman Begins respectively, and sequels Superman:Man of Steel and The Dark Knight. Mad Max director George Miller will direct.

    i'd read that christian bale had addressed a question relating to 'justice league' at his recent visit to comiccon.

    he mentioned that he won't be lending his voice talent to the CGI batman role.
    if the studio heads approach and land bale, it'll make the film more successful (but at a larger cost to the producers). i'm sure it'll be great, anyhow.

    I think they said that they were just going to have different castings for them (Batman and Superman), not that they were going to omit them. I, personally, would like to have Bale and Routh as Batman and Superman. It makes things more complicated for the directors. That's where they prove that they can direct...or not.

    well it maybe a good idea not having Bale and Routh in a JLA movie, it is a good thing not to relate the batman or Superman alone movies with the Justice League one, but not having batman and Superman in the movie would be a big mistake because the Justice League cannot exist without those two superheroes

    It's a great idea that neither Routh or Bale will be part of the JL film. This movie shouldn't be related in anyway to Batman Begins or Superman Returns franchises. It should be an original idea with original cast members.

    I just don't know how the actually film will work; there are too many heroes/villians in the DC universe to make a good film even if its extended to 3hrs. They would have to find a way to juggle every character. I don't think it can be done.

    i dont think that it a mistake not to cast brandon routh to be in it because they can get tom welling from the show smallville but as far about christian bale yea i agree about not getting him for it and back to the superman thing dont get me wrong brandon routh he did do a very good job as superman but i like to see tom welling dawn the suit i think it would be very cool

    I love the idea I wonder if it'll work..maybe Batman & Superman should be left out..give us some new heros on screen?
