Ewan McGregor Regrets Making "Star Wars"

They are some of the highest-grossing movies of all time, but Ewan McGregor regrets appearing in "Star Wars," reports The Sun.

During a recent trip to a Scottish hospice, the father of a young patient suffering from an incurable condition, asked him about his best and worst film. In a very surprising answer, McGregor branded the sci-fi movies the worst work he has ever done.

Hamish Glasgow, whose three-year-old son Hamish suffers from rare Hoyeraal Hreidarsson, says: "Ewan was really down to earth. He was great with Cameron. He was really relaxed and you could tell he's a really good dad. He said the favorite movie he'd done was 'Trainspotting' and the one he liked least was 'Star Wars.'"

McGregor starred as Obi-Wan Kenobi in 1999's 'The Phantom Menace,' 2002's 'Attack Of The Clones' and 2005's 'Revenge Of The Sith.'

he was actually great in the Star Wars films. it's unforgettable for me because that's where i became a fan of him. maybe he just don't like doing sci-fi films as much as other kinds of films. but he was able to give justice to his role as obi-wan. that makes him a good actor -- though he did not like his role, he was able to perform it well. good job, OBI-eWAN!!! :-)

Did he actually say he regrets it, or that it was just the worst film he's done. Because I can buy that (haven't actually seen them yet myself, but I do like Star Wars - I will get around to it, though), seeing as he's done some amazing stuff. And I think it's great that he was willing to try a whole range of movies, even if it means he likes some more than others. Though it's a shame if he regrets it. I would hope he at least got SOMETHING out of it.

THANK YOU!! Star Whores was crap. Trainspotting was the best movie I've seen him in. Jesus man ... so what if alot of money was spent on it, it was as light weight as a blond Lawyer looking for respect or a shit rapper's advice on making money. I don't think any of you are ready for good movies quite yet (Trainspotting), thats why so much shit was released this summer like Harry Pothead and Transformers. The big-dicks down in Hollywood listened to the pitches and said, "And it took you how long to come up with this?" then said "Don't worry ... at least not with American audiences anyway"

So what if he feels that the Star Wars films are the worst movies he ever made. They were the shittiest movies out of the series. I would feel the same. At least he has the balls to speak his true feelings.

I liked all of the Star Wars movies in the series. I also think that Ewan does have a right to choose what movies he preferred doing. It's a job to him. He wasn't exactly that great at acting yet in the Star Wars series, from what I saw. He didn't do too bad, though.
