An international poster for the upcoming CGI/live action "Alvin and the Chipmunks" movie has been released. It features the three characters (Alvin, Simon, Theodore) on a disco floor. I still can't get used to the way the chipmunks look, especially after Alvin ate Theodore's crap in the trailer.

The film is based on the 1980's cartoon series about a music group of chipmunks comprised of mischievous group leader Alvin; tall and quiet Simon; and chubby, impressionable Theodore.

"Alvin" is directed by Tim Hill, who is responsible for last year's "Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties." You can catch it in theaters on December 14th.

    i used to watch this show when i was a kid. they messed it it up because if you see the trailer theyre small as hell in the show they were like the size of a ten year old kid. whats cool though is that the guy from the accepted and the mac vs pc commercials is alvin.

    I used to like the show when I was a kid, and its meant for kids today. At least they used the same actors who voiced the chipmunks from the cartoons, Minus the Dave character.

    You're absolutely right. What I think is the reason for the "gangster" look is the appeal towards the audience, which is just absurd.
