Mark Wahlberg Gives "GI Joe" Update

It seems like a few months ago "GI Joe" news was an every day thing, but since then, things have slowed down. IESB caught up with Mark Wahlberg to find out what's happening with the big screen adaptation.

When asked whether he is still up for the role of Duke, Wahlberg says: "I have no idea, Lorenzo was talking about it months back when we were promoting Shooter, but I haven't seen a script."

That's not a good sign, but has he at least been contacted by director Stephen Sommers? "No. No, the idea of it seems pretty out there," explained Wahlberg. "They haven't really told me what they're going for, so, we'll see where, you know... We're training to do 'The Fighter,' and you know, everything else is up in the air."

Sounds like a "GI Joe" film won't be hitting theaters anytime soon.
