We now have a teaser for Will Ferrell's basketball comedy "Semi-Pro." In it, is a nude Ferrell trying to sell you tickets to the 1976 season of the Tropics. The teaser ends with a phone number, 1-800-TROPICS, which gives you more information about what you will get with your season pass. Some of the items mentioned are corn dogs, foam hands, a pirate eye patch, an American flag and sex with all the ball girls and Ferrell.
The story revolves around Jackie Moon (Ferrell), the owner/coach/player of the American Basketball Association's Flint Michigan Tropics, who rallies his teammates to make their NBA dreams come true.
Kent Alterman is making his transition from producer to director with "Semi-Pro." Alterman might not have much experience, but writer Scot Armstrong does; he has delivered screenplays for such comedies as "Road Trip" and "Old School." "Semi-Pro" is scheduled to hit theaters on February 29th.
