Here are several pictures from the upcoming "The Forbidden Kingdom" film, which will unite Jackie Chan and Jet Li on screen for the first time. While lots of fans are excited about the Chan/Li collaboration, the two actors have gone on record stating that the film "isn't actually that great."

"The Forbidden Kingdom" is a loose adaptation of classic Chinese tale "The Monkey King," which sees an American teenager transported back to ancient China, where he learns about honor, loyalty and friendship, and the true meaning of kungfu.

At this point, the movie has completed shooting and will now begin its post-production process. It is directed by Rob Minkoff (Stuart Little, The Lion King), has a budget of $70 million and is set to hit theaters on April 18th, 2008.

I love movies with martial arts...especially if two of the most talented actors to this date are put together in one movie (jet li & jackie chan). This movie should have been produced a long time ago! Anyways, i know a lot of fans are going to support the two....

Damn... It took the director of Stuart little and lion king to come up with the genius of making a movie w/ 2 of kung-fu actions biggest stars!? I hope there's no animatioon involved.

This should be great... Both actors are good martial artists. However, this was depicted from a chinese movie, thus, i believe, it would be better if they would pick or have an opinion from a chinese director. by doing so, he would enhance the essence of the storyline.... hope this works out well...
    i will wait

This should be an interesting movie.
I am a Jackie Chan fan only because of the fact he does his own stunts and what extent he would go through to make a movie as realistic as he can. Granted, Rush Hour movies do not help his image at all, but he is very gifted to do what he does.

I am also a Jet Li fan for what stunts he does. Unleash and any of his Asian films are amazing.

Both are great Asian actors in the martial arts, so we need to give them some credit that they would even do a movie together at all. Both have a different form of art to share.

I thought Jet Li was fed up with Hollywood and the way Asian actors are stereotyped in the movies.....thinking that all Chinese know kung-fu...how racist!!!!

This will suck....Jackie Chan's last movie Rush Hour 3,was even worst....
