Final Two "Golden Compass" Posters

New Line Cinema has sent Cinematical the final two posters for the upcoming first installment in the "His Dark Material" franchise, entitled "The Golden Compass." The first one is nothing new, as we have seen pieces of it on other posters. The second one, features two of the polar bears doing battle.

The story revolves around a young girl named Lyra Belacqua (Dakota Blue Richards), who journeys to the far North to save her best friend and other kidnapped children from terrible experiments by a mysterious organization. For more on this movie, check out the trailer.

Chris Weitz, brother and frequent collaborator of Paul Weitz ("American Pie," "About a Boy"), directed this newest fantasy adaptation that is bound to be filled with all sorts of mystical creatures. The studio is hoping the flick will dominate this year's holiday season when it hits theaters on December 7th.
