Today we have the UK poster for the upcoming big screen adaptation of the "Hitman" video game. While, the US release is scheduled for November 21st, people from the UK will have to wait until November 30th to see all the action.

The story of "Hitman" revolves around Agent 47 (Timothy Olyphant), who has been educated to become a professional assassin for hire, but the hunter becomes the hunted when 47 gets caught up in a political takeover. Both Interpol and the Russian military chase the Hitman across Eastern Europe as he tries to find out who set him up and why they're trying to take him out of the game.

Director Xavier Gens has been working on an extremely violent version, stating that "the film is distinctly more brutal than traditional action movies." It was clear that "Hitman" would have to be rated R, but news quickly broke out that 20th Century Fox were looking to bring it down to a PG-13 rating for a more general audience. At this point, MPAA has not given the film a final rating, but the studio is claiming that no matter what people are saying, the movie will be R in the end.

I agree with beautySMACK. You don't have to that cool to play for the role. If Olyphant is sign for that role, let it be. So why in the hell you want to put Statham for that role, no disrespect, he doesn't fit for this role, not to do with his work, although he's one of my top actors.

I agree with Ozyrious. Timothy does fit the role and Jason Statham does not. I been seeing my hubby play the Hitman and when I see Timothy It reminds me a lot about Agent 47. Jason Statham is too short and too funny for the role. J.S. Is more effective to play comedy. Agree or disagree? I have nothing against anyone, this is my opinion.

Wow, this poster is awesome. I was hoping that Statham would get the part because I'm a fan of his but Olyphant looks really cool as the hitman. This movie definetly has great potential and I can't wait to see it. It should be rated R too since the games are Mature. xD

Guys let's give the new talent a chance, come on. As a gamer and "HITMAN" fan, I have been following this film development very closely. Much like yourselves I immediately tough that Jason Statham would be great for the part, the guys tough and his head is already shaved, right. But anyone who has actually played the video games and paid close attention to details, would immediately notice that Jason Statham really doesn't look nor he can't quite sound the part. I have nothing against Jason Statham, I personally enjoy most of his movies. But the role of "Agent 47" is one that requires SO much more than physical prowess, it requires actual acting ability. Which is sadly NOT Jason Statham forte. Unlike Jason Statham, Timothy Olyphan has actually played very diverse characters, which is not an easy thing to do. Such a feat requires acting skills, not to mention that after seeing him and dress up and neatly shaved Timothy Olyphan REALLY does look like the infamous "Agent 47".
