Moviehole reports that after several false starts and one major budget blowout, George Miller's "Mad Max 4: Fury Road" is finally ready to go. The project has been greenlit and production quarters have re-opened at Fox Studios in Sydney this week.
Miller is also directing the upcoming "Justice League of America" movie, so it sounds like "Mad Max 4" and "Justice League" might get developed concurrently. In addition, work on the sequel to the animated "Happy Feet" has also begun, but since the original took four years to make, the second installment might not be in theaters any time soon.
In an earlier interviews, Miller has stated that Mel Gibson will not return the role of the road warrior, so casting might be underway sooner than expected.
