Intense "American Gangster" Clip

I have been hearing nothing but great things about "American Gangster" and this clip demonstrates the kind of acting and intense scenes we are to expect. In it, Frank Lucas (Denzel Washington) is pulled over by the police, who find drugs in the trunk of his car. Frank suggests that the officers throw the drugs back where they found them, but a detective (Josh Brolin) thinks it would be a better idea to throw Frank and his brother into a river. That's where Frank decided to exercise the violent reputation that he has built up.

In the movie, Harlem drug lord Frank Lucas smuggled heroin in the caskets of soldiers killed in Vietnam, until he was eventually caught by New York detective Richie Roberts (Russell Crowe). Eventually, Roberts got Lucas to turn his talents toward catching the crooked cops and drug dealers who profited from his scheme.

"American Gangster" has a great story, great actors and a bankable director (Ridley Scott), but for some reason, it also has lots of rappers like RZA, T.I. and Common, who will obviously play Lucas' thugs. Catch this film in theaters November 2nd.
