Michelle Pfeiffer has revealed that she is interested in starring in a new version of the hit movie "Grease," despite the fact that she loathed "Grease 2."
She starred in the less than successful sequel to the 1970s film in 1982, but the Daily Express reports that she hasn't been put off by the memory, although this time the actress would prefer a more mature role.
"It's a great idea and I hear they like Jessica Simpson for the role of Sandy - she would be good," Pfeiffer said. "Now I would love to play the school principal. She is fun and has some great put-down lines. I think I'd like the part now I have been asked."
But, as she watched a West End performance of "Grease," Pfeiffer confessed that despite the fact that "Grease 2" launched her career, she thought the film was a disaster. "I hated that film with a vengeance and could not believe how bad it was," she laughed. "At the time I was young and didn't know any better. I hear it's a cult film now."
