The poster for M Night Shyamalan's upcoming sci-fi film "The Happening" has been released. The story is described as a paranoid thriller about a family on the run from a natural crisis that presents a large-scale threat to humanity.

The poster features a road filled with abandoned cars that leads to a blacked-out city. The tagline states: "We've Sensed It. We've Seen The Signs. Now... It's Happening," referring to Shyamalan's past movies.

"The Happening" stars Mark Wahlberg, Zooey Deschanel and John Leguizamo. The film hits theaters on June 13th, 2008.

    Ummmmmmmmmmm... are you kidding me? I STILL haven't forgiven him for that God-awful "The Village"... that was some HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE film-making! I'll have to see about this one!

    Um, how can you say that "The Village" was a horrible film? You are only saying that because you didn't care for the story, and that it wasn't some gore drentched film. Learn to appriciate a film for what it is before you knock it for not being what you want.

    egh this seems like another "The Village" or "The Lady in the Water" both which were really horrible films. i am going to have to see the trailer before i even think about even getting excited for this film

    i love how on the Signs DVD, Shamalyan was annoyed with the trailer makers how they kept on referring to his past movies, and how he wanted his films to stand alone and not be constantly compared to Sixth Sense and his others.
    this is funny to me because every single damn film of his referrences his others. now, the tagline for his new movie is actually a pun about his older films.
    i think he's an excellent filmmaker, but will someone please stop his ego before it swallows him whole?
