Jessica Simpson's "Blonde Ambition" Earns $1,300

Jessica Simpson's "Blonde Ambition" has been rumored to go straight to DVD, but Fist Look Studios cleared up those rumors, by stating that the film will get a limited release in Texas, in eight theaters. That turned out to be a great mistake.

As the box office estimations are coming out, it seems that the film earned $162 per theater during the weekend, for a total earnings of $1,300. It is assumed that the poor showing had something to do with the "Jessica Jinx," which began when Simpson attended the game of quarterback boyfriend Tony Romo and his terrible performance against Philadelphia. Apparently, the state of Texas is now shunning the actress/singer and her movie.

Earning $1,300 at eight theaters, means that each theater made $162. With ticket prices at about $7.50 in Texas, that means that a total of seven people went to see the movie each day at each theater.
