"Witless Protection" Trailer

Lionsgate just sent us the trailer for Larry the Cable Guy's "Witless Protection." The story centers on a small-town sheriff (Larry), who witnesses what he believes is a kidnapping and rushes to rescue a woman. The kidnappers turn out to be FBI agents assigned to protect her and deliver her to a big Enron-type corruption trial in Chicago but are later found to be on the take and are villains who are bent on killing her.

The trailer shows a very clueless sheriff, who desperately tries to do the right thing. Unfortunately, he gets involved in matter than are more complicated than he is used to.

Joining Larry are Jenny McCarthy, Joe Montegna and Eric Roberts. The new film is directed by Charles Carner from his own screenplay and is scheduled to hit theaters on February 22nd, 2008.
