Natalie Portman is planning to quit acting to have children, describing motherhood as "the greatest thing I can aspire to." But the star, who is currently dating fashion designer Nathan Bogle, is reluctant to ever wed, despite her parents' long and strong marriage.

Portman, who has in the past been linked with Moby, Gael Garcia Bernal and Jake Gyllenhaal, says, "I don't know about marriage. Divorce is so easy and that takes much of the meaning out of it.

"Committing to one person is sacred. But partnership and kids? Definitely. Motherhood is the greatest thing I can aspire to."

  • Have to agree with Portman. Motherhood,marriage is great thing, something sacred. It is ony you feel you are up for it. It cannot be done under pressure, at the spur of moment even if have a major crush of the guy

    Liking and being with the person is a totally different thing. there are other factors to be considered like personality, family etc. People can get hurt.
