Posted by SexiVixxEN 678 days ago
Today, we have the official trailer for the upcoming suspense film "The Happening," directed by M Night Shyamalan (Signs, Sixth Sense, The Village). As with most Shyamalan films, the trailers are extremely intriguing, and this one is no different. It shows a town where people begin to kill themselves for no apparent reason.

While the plot details are still mostly unknown, the story is described as a paranoid thriller about a family on the run from a natural crisis that presents a large-scale threat to humanity.

"The Happening" stars Mark Wahlberg, Zooey Deschanel and John Leguizamo. The film hits theaters on June 13th.

Oh my gosh! Wow! It looks like Shyamalan is going for a darker film, with the R rating and all.

  • i cant believe people criticize and hate Shyamalan only after his last movie was a bomb!! i still think he is one of the brilliant director out there.. and this one looks good and intresting, so lets just cross our finger..

ps: director like Ridley scott and micheal mann make a very bad movie in the past like, Scott - top gun and Hannibal (dont argue with me, this both movie suck big time!)
and Mann - Miami vice, was damn out of luck! hate that movie!

so give a peace of Shyamalan..

    peace!

  • this Shyamalan film really sparked my full interest, until i caught wind of Leguizamo being cast.

i hope he doesn't much this one up with slobbery-mouthed delivery of his lines (as usual).

  • Alot of people say that Sixth sense was his only good movie! They were all great. People are viewing movies for the wrong reason apparently. Signs was fantastic! The village was good! Unbreakable was awesome.. These movies were intended for intelligent audiences! M Night " I feel " considers his to be! If you want to see a baseball game? go see one! If you want to see a movie? See one! You need to decipher between the both! Watching an M Night movie, I have never needed my imagination to adjust to what is going on.. He has done it for me! It will do the job in which Movies are intended! I am sure of it.

  • I hope this will not disappoint... I guess I loved Sixth Sense and UNbreakable so much that my expectations were too high......? But Signs was AWFUL! The Village was ........ better than SIgns, I suppose, but still, it's time he got back to his old form... I hope this one with Mark Wahlberg will be the one! Atleast now I have no expectations! I know he's capable ofsheer brilliance and I also know he's capable of a totally moralising and cliched lemon, as well!

  • i think his ego has resulted in two really bad movies back to back, but the trailer for this actually looks quite good, and come on...yes, he's sorta become a bit of a joke with his constant twist endings, but Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, and Signs were all excellent, so lets hope this is more like that and less like The Village.
    cheers

  • Those who critisize Shyamanlan's movies saying it would certainly have a "week twist" are totally idiotic. They're too influenced by the Sixth Sense. Why should Shyamalan movies even have twists? sure thats what we expect from him but I hardly call the ending of movies like Unbreakable or Signs or even The Village huge twists. Sure we discover a little something but nothing as astonishing as in the Sixth Sense. What makes Shyamalan movies good (in general) aren't their last 5 minutes...

  • Stop making movies, I did hate Lady in the Water, but come on the best movie with a twist in it "The Sixth Sense", was awesome, and I loved "Unbreakable", and "The Village" had a good twist. Then Mel Gibsons role in "Signs", I mean come on. This new one looks amazing, M. Night Shyamalan has a mind that no human being can come close to, except Jerry Bruckheimer, however u spell his name. M. Night Syamalan best director with twists!!! Now with Mark Wahlberg as the actor, this movie will be amazing, simply amazing!!!

  • it is most likely going to have a week twist. he needs to stop making movies. signs, unbreakable and the sixth sense were the best and only good movies he'll ever make
