First Look: "The Women" Pictures

The first pictures for the upcoming adaptation of the 1939 classic "The Woman" have been released. They feature a very impressive cast, which is comprised of Meg Ryan, Annette Bening, Eva Mendes, Jada Pinkett Smith, Debra Messing, Candice Bergen, Bette Midler, Carrie Fisher and more.

Story follows a group of female friends when the one they envied most discovers her husband's cheating on her. The movie is written and directed by Diane English, who promises that her script maintains the same spirit of the original, but the gals aren't as relentlessly catty this time around.

Even though English will be making her directorial debut, she gained her fame by being the writing talent behind the hit television show "Murphy Brown." Her new movie is scheduled to hit theaters on October 10th.
