Director Rules Out 'Juno' Sequel

Director Rules Out 'Juno' Sequel

Posted by SexiVixxEN 664 days ago
Juno director Jason Reitman has dashed hopes of a sequel to the Oscar-nominated film, insisting he won't work on a follow up.

The movie maker is adamant any return to the story of actress Ellen Page's 16-year-old Juno wouldn't match up to the original, because the teen pregnancy storyline was what made the critically-acclaimed film so unique.

He tells the New York Post's PageSix.com, "I can't see it. She got pregnant once; I just can't see her getting pregnant again."

Sequels usually aren't as good as the first, so I'd keep it like this, unless they can make something superb.

I'm glad that they won't make a sequel, because the movie was such a gem. It's hard to follow up something so great...

Thank you! I was just thinking about this- and how much a sequel would suck! So glad the-powers-that-be are in agreement for once. :D

It's good to see that there are filmmakers out there that will say no to a sequel.

Wow, it's like, the one person trashing Juno was so shocking that it completely overran any interest in the actual story. I think it'd be funny as heck if Cvalda just posted that to mess with people.

'Cause if that was the plan, hey, it worked!

  • Thank goodness. The first one was awful enough on its own.
