According to FilmSchoolRejects, Will Ferrell attended a special screening of his latest movie "Semi-Pro," where during a Q&A Ferrell mentioned that he would like to bring back Ron Burgundy from "Anchorman" to the big screen.
According to Ferrell, he has been performing skits as Burgundy on the Funny or Die Comedy Tour and bringing back the character during these events has got him thinking of how he can reprise his role in the "Anchorman" sequel.
The site adds that SXSW Master Chief Matt Dentler has recently commented on the topic as well, confirming the possible new film. "Ferrell commented that as he's performed his Anchorman character Ron Burgundy on the tour, he's started to think up possible ideas for a potential sequel to that film."
