A few hours ago, we posted a low quality photo of the poster for the upcoming horror film "The Ruins." Now, thanks to ComingSoon and JoBlo, we have two official posters in good quality. They feature a head and an arm being covered by the roots of a tree/plant. The tagline on both states: "Terror has evolved."
The story revolves around a group of friends whose leisurely Mexican holiday takes a turn for the worse when they, along with a fellow tourist, embark on a remote archaeological dig in the jungle, where something evil lives among the ruins.
While all the marketing for the movie, including the trailer, avoids mentioning who the villain is, a recent USA Today article revealed that it is a plant. "It has intellect and abilities beyond those of the average Venus flytrap." "The Ruins" is scheduled to hit theaters on April 11th.
