Renée Zellweger was willing to do anything to work with George Clooney
Renee Zellweger says she was willing to do anything just to work with ex-love George Clooney.
The Bridget Jones star says she did not have to consider it for a second when she was asked to star as George’s on-screen love interest in ‘Leatherheads’.
“It was a no-brainer,” she said. “I heard George was making a movie and I said, ‘When?’
“If he had asked me to make peanut-butter sandwiches for the catering, I would have said, ‘Crunchy or smooth?’
“It’s never less than great with him.”
She also loved watching all the hunky guys running around playing American football.
“I guess someone had to do it,” she chuckled. “Talk about living the dream.”
She had a similar experience with ‘Appaloosa’ where she got to star alongside Ed Harris, Viggo Mortensen and Jeremy Irons.
“Again, poor me,” she laughed. “That was just awful. Men in cowboy hats and boots, every day.
“Sometimes people ask, ‘Don’t you miss your home?’
“Well, no.
“I go to work with George Clooney or Harry Connick. So, not so much.”
As well as being thrilled with her career choices, Renee also insists life is good in ever way.
“I’m so fortunate. I think I was born happy,” she said.”If I have a bad moment, it doesn’t take me long to switch the gear back.
“I say, ‘That sucked’ - and move on.”
She also says she is excited about the future.
“There’s a lot I want to do,” she says. “I want to be better at things. I want to know more - I want to understand more.
“I want to figure out what it is I’m supposed to do.
“I’m on the road, but I know it’s not the whole road.”
