"Vacancy" Prequel Details

Agnes Bruckner (The Woods), Lola Davidson, Angel Oquendo, David Moscow (Dead Air), Nelson Lee, Brian Klugman (Cloverfield) and Gwendoline Yeo are starring in Stage 6's "Vacancy" prequel, reports STYD. The film is said to go straight-to-DVD.

Mark Smith returns to write the second installment, which will focus on a couple, Jessica, Cabel and their pal Tanner who check into the Meadow View Inn where the employees are making snuff films. Eric Bross (On the Line) is directing.

The original film was released a year ago (April, 2007) and went on to earn over $35 million in worldwide ticket sales. The movie cost $19 million to make.
