Last year we reported that "Grindhouse" director Robert Rodriguez was in the works to fast-track a remake of the campy, 1968 sci-fi flop "Barbarella" before the writers strike hit.
However the news reported at the time by the NY Observer was that the film had been killed by Universal. Specifically, it was reported, because of Rodriguez' insistence on using his fiance Rose McGowan in the leading role.
But news is now coming out that the film may still be moving forward, with McGowan still in position as the title character...
