What's up with celebrities and the hired help?
The latest in titillating tab fodder is not star-on-star action but alleged scandals between celebs and their employees -- usually a personal assistant or, more salaciously, the nanny.
Actor Rob Lowe is the most recent headliner, filing a lawsuit against several former members of his staff, including his chef and two nannies. He alleges that one of the nannies, Jessica Gibson, threatened to extort some $1.5M from him to keep quiet about an intimate relationship between them (which he denies). His action was presumably as a pre-emptive strike against Gibson to get his side out before she could tell her story; he took it up a PR notch by writing about it in The Huffington Post. We're not sure what, if anything, went on between the two, but it couldn't have been more heated than what's going on between them now.
