The last two films from Apatow Productions - "Walk Hard" and "Drillbit Taylor" - misfired at the box office. "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" also failed to impress financially but is that necessarily indicative of how good the movie is?
Written by and starring Jason Segel and directed by first timer Nick Stoller, "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" may be the funniest film of the year so far. With past hits like "The 40 Year Old Virgin" and "Knocked Up," Apatow and company have shown that romantic comedies aren't just for the ladies anymore. With enough heart and raunchiness to appeal to both sexes, "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" is another win for Apatow Productions even if the box office doesn't seem to agree.
