Collider got the chance to speak to Brandon Routh (Superman Returns) during a press junket for his upcoming movie "Lie to Me" and were able to squeeze a few bits of information about the "Superman Returns" sequel and "Justice League of America."

Regarding "Superman: The Man of Steel," Routh stated that the project is still alive and moving forward. "I trust that we'll be shooting 'The Man of Steel' sometime early next year," he revealed. "That's my goal, that's the outlook that I see."

Routh added that he believes a "Justice League of America" movie should be put on hold for a while, until he and Christian Bale had more time to establish the characters of Superman and Batman. "We've been doing a great job representing Superman and Batman," Routh said. "There is definitely a time and a place for the 'Justice League' movie. Now maybe isn't that time. I'd like to see it after we made the characters a bigger presence in the world."

Finally, Routh was asked whether he was ever approached to be in "Justice League." His answer was simply: "I was not."
