Liotta, Faris "Report" for duty in mall comedy

Anna Faris and Ray Liotta are joining "Knocked Up" star Seth Rogen in the comedy "Observe and Report."

Rogen plays a deluded, self-important head of mall security who squares off in a turf war against local cops. Faris plays a salesgirl after whom the guard lusts. Liotta will play his nemesis, a police detective.

Michael Pena ("Crash") and Jesse Plemons ("Friday Night Lights") are also on board as security guards.




Production begins this week, with Jody Hill directing the Warner Bros. project from his own script.

Faris, famed for the "Scary Movie" franchise, stars in the comedy "House Bunny," which opens August 22. Liotta was in theaters last year with "Wild Hogs" and "Bee Movie."
