Robert Downey Jr. is looking hotsy here, with the touseled hair and the dirt and the sports car suit. His new flick Iron Man beat the crap out of competition such as that Patrick Dempsey crapfest Made of Honor over the weekend. It brought in $201 million over the weekend. That's a lot of ducats. Made of Honor only made 15.5 million. I think it's the combined hair disaster of Dempsey and Michelle Monaghan. Seriously, she's got some sort of secretary bob and and he's got a pouf. Stop. Now.

This is very good news for Hollywood, as a new film franchise is starting the summer off on a winning note.

I still haven't seen the flick yet, despite being a comic book geek. And all of my geek friends are talking about something that happens after the credits. Which means I have to haul ass to the theater before some on-line douche spoils it. Does Captain America show up?

Here's Downey Jr. after a Lakers game. He deserves the success. He had a rocky road from illegal naps in people's houses to cinematic success such as this. And he was just named one of Time's 100 Most Influential People! Go Bobby!
