Marvel Wants Brad Pitt for Thor?

Our friends at LatinoReview are reporting that Marvel wants Brad Pitt for the upcoming big screen adaptation of Thor. Let’s face it, isn’t Brad Pitt on every project’s preliminary casting lists for dream stars? Of course, no offer has been made to the star, and when one is, I doubt he would actually be interested (but you never know with these Iron Man $$$ numbers). Would Pitt make a good Thor? You certainly need someone with acting skills to pull off this role. The old school approach of casting a muscular model-like actor like Arnold could only result in an extremely cheesy film.

I would Not use Brad Pitt.....YOU NEED a NEW Actor NEW........look at hulk that comes out in JUNE.

NEW HULK right.....So we need a New actor ...im sure theres a list some where....they can Find a fresh one....

I don't "see" Brad Pitt doing these kind of movies...cuz he's more into mature movies, but i don't know maybe he'll suprise everyone! And yes... we would give a good Thor cuz he has the body, the looks and he's a good actor! But i still think Brad would never do a movie like this one.

You need an older person to play Thor, Brad Pitt is to young and to much of a "pretty boy" and Triple H doesn't have the experience to pull off a blockbuster film like Thor, I believe that is why Dolph Lundgren could pull it off greatly, he has the experinc plus the age, look what he done in the Masters of the Universe when he played as He-Man, also what he done in Rocky 4 and as he got older he also done good

I will be SO dissapointed if they use Pitt!!! I agree, it'll be a big blockbuster, but seeing as how Marvel its self is so established, they don't NEED big name actors to make a good movie. I Personally want to see some smaller time actors make a great movie. I am kinda diggin the idea of that Ralf Moeller guy. If he can pull off blonde hair, he'd be great. Yeah, Thor is suppose to be a god, and therefore hot, but I've never found Brad Pitt goodlooking.

Brad Pitt has had some good movies under his belt, but seeing him as Thor kinda makes my mind go 'Squish!!'

I think they would need to get someone that could pull off the hard look of Thor and Brad Pitt has played to many pretty boys that I don't believe that the world would be conviced that he is Thor.

I know I wouldn't go see it if he is in the movie as the main character.

I think Brad would be just fine, he was awesome in Troy. I'm tired of seeing pro-wrestlers tryin to be actors.

honestly, i have no idea who would make a good thor. if i had 2 guess they should like get a pro wrestler, or sum big buff model like fabio or sumting
