THE new Bond villain is based on NICOLAS SARKOZY and TONY BLAIR.
Actor MATHIEU AMALRIC, who plays evil Dominic Greene in Quantum of Solace, believes the French president is more dangerous than the Bond villains of the past.
“I’m playing the Bond villain but he’s the worst villain we’ve ever had,” he told Total Film magazine.
“This guy is dangerous. He thinks he’s in a James Bond movie – that’s his problem. I based Greene on the craziness of Sarkozy with a bit of Tony Blair’s smile.”
Of Sarkozy’s model wife CARLA BRUNI, he said, “I hope she’s an insider, plotting to bring him down from within.”
The French actor, and star of The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, also revealed his character uses an axe on his unfortunate victims but “fights like a woman”.
“We have one great fight scene, near the end,” he said.
“But Greene doesn’t know how to fight, which is why he uses the axe. He fights like a woman – if you know what I mean. He’s dangerous because he’s unpredictable.”
