Filming for a trilogy of Tintin films will begin later this year and the directors for all three films are now confirmed.

With Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson confirmed to direct the first and second film respectively, there has been much speculation about who would direct the third film. Big names and friends of the first two such as George Lucas or James Cameron have been bandered around but Spielberg has now confirmed that Jackson and himself will be teaming up on the third film.

The cast is still being formed but Thomas Sangster is confirmed in the lead role and Andy Serkis will also star. All three of the scripts are being adapted form Herge's stories by 'Doctor Who' writer Steven Moffat.
