Bill Murray’s Wife, Jennifer Butler Murray, Files for Divorce and Restraining Order

Bill Murray’s wife, Jennifer Butler Murray, has filed for divorce as well as a restraining order. The comedian and his wife had been married for more than 10 years.

Sounds like Bill Murray has got some skeletons too - according to the documents filed May 12 in a Charleston, S.C. family court, Jennifer Butler Murray accuses him of “adultery, addiction to marijuana and alcohol, abusive behavior, physical abuse, sexual addictions and frequent abandonment.” Ouch.

The document includes this tidbit about Bill Murray — he “hit his wife in the face and then told her she was ‘lucky he didn’t kill her.’”

The restraining order against Bill Murray would keep him from their $3.65 million home.

The couple have four children.

    This really sucks, I never met Mr. Murray and I wish him the best. He is still a very talented actor and until all the facts come out, I'm not going to pass judgement on the man.

    I completely forgot he lived in Charleston, SC! Oh man he is SCREWED!!! Even if he is innocent, those good ol' boys down their will make an example of him. Even the female judges down there are so one sided, he has no chance.

    Damn that sucks! I met him once at Circuit City where I worked. She did seem like a total bitch. He is very down to earth when it comes to the public, never trying to bring attention to his celeb status. Her on the other hand was all about telling everyone who she was and who she was married too, "not to mention I have a lot of money I want to drop here so you better make me want to stay". Sheesh.. damn drama queens!

    If the accusations are true, then it is unfortunate. I always thought he seemed like a loveable guy. Oh well he is still a talented actor, but I have lost some of the personal respect I felt for him.
