The trailer for the upcoming third installment in the "Starship Troopers" franchise, entitled "Starship Troopers 3: Marauder," has been released. The effects cannot be compared to the original movie, but with an unprecedented $20 million budget for a straight-to-DVD release, this installment is guaranteed to be at least better than the terrible sequel.
In the movie, Casper Van Dien is back to reprise his role as Johnny Rico, who is now a general and is forced to return to the military to fight the big bugs. The new film is written and directed by Edward Neumeier, who will be making his helming debut, but has previously written scripts for "Robocop" and the original "Starship Troopers."
"Starship Troopers: Marauder" will appear in stores on August 5th.
