Ok, so Tom Hanks is only in the movie for ten minutes, but similar to the studio, we had to get your interest. The new film is called "The Great Buck Howard," and it is actually Hanks' son, Colin Hanks, who is in the lead with John Malkovich, Emily Blunt, and Steve Zahn supporting.
In the movie, as the career of renowned illusionist (Malkovich) continues its decline, a young man (Colin Hanks) fresh out of school becomes his new assistant. But his father (Tom Hanks) is not enthused about his son's career choice at all. (Yes, Tom plays Colin's father).
The film is written and directed by Sean McGinly, and has already appeared at the Sundance Film Festival. At this point, the movie has secured a distributor but not a release date.
