IMDb has just reported that Stan Winston, special effects mastermind on classics, such as 'Aliens', 'Predator' and 'Jurassic Park', passed away on Sunday.

Apparently he was the special effects supervisor on the upcoming 'Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins'. I sincerely hope that the film will be dedicated to his memory.

The world of celluloid and special effects will never be the same again. May he rest in peace.

    Wow...how tragic. I recently viewed a S.T.A.R.Z. Documentary on the slasher/horror genre and Winston was a featured guest. He looked healthy and accomodating to me. Rest In Peace my good man.
