A brand new poster for the upcoming film "The Mutant Chronicles," starring Thomas Jane, John Malkovich and Ron Perlman, has been released, featuring a very heroic shot of Jane.

The new movie is set in the 23rd Century when a group of corporations have destroyed the world's resources. An underworld army of demonic Necromutants is warring with the last remaining humans. Jane plays a Marine who leads a fight against the hordes in hopes of saving humanity.

"The Mutant Chronicles" finished shooting two years ago, and has yet to set a release date. Early buzz on the film has been negative, so there is always a possibility that this movie could end up going straight to DVD.

    No offense Skactapus but I wouldn't even waste my time watching this film. The title has a good cast of actor's like Ron Perlman and John Malkovich but Thomas Jane I could care less about. The title doesn't look appealing and also the fact it has been on hold for well over 2 years also sounds like a setback for me.

    This film was debuted at Cannes film festival and the review on this film sucked. Basically the review said it was a waste of time which means no theatrical release which means it could be straight to DVD. It is sad with such decent talent can a movie turn out to be so bad in the end.

    By looking at the posters and the official website, this movie looks good, but with the director being Simon Hunter, who doesn’t have anything big on his resume, this film could ultimately fail. No matter what happens, I will probably see this.
