Patrick Swayze has assured fans that he is "winning the battle" against pancreatic cancer.
The actor was diagnosed with the disease earlier this year and has been undergoing treatment at Stanford University Medical Centre in California.
He revealed that chemotherapy, a vitamin-rich diet and daily doses of fresh ginger root juice are aiding his recovery.
Swayze, 55, said: "My treatments are working and I am winning the battle. I am juicing (drinking fresh fruit juice) every day along with other treatments and all I can say is that it's working fine and really well."
He was recently given the go ahead to star in new US drama series The Beast.
